Further devolved powers including over transport and skills training have been urged by a coalition of northern leaders.
The call comes as a report from the first Convention of the North is due to be presented to Northern Powerhouse Minister Jake Berry when he meets council leaders, local enterprise partnership chairs and mayors today.
