Core Cities demands more aid in fight against ‘invisible killer’

Whitehall must give Britain’s urban centres the tools they need to tackle the air pollution that is responsible for 15,000 deaths across 10 major cities, a powerful lobby group has warned.

The Core Cities group of urban leaders and mayors met in Cardiff this week to discuss the growing threat of air pollution – dubbed the ‘invisible killer’.
