Copeland BC is at an ‘important cross-roads for its future’ as it faces an ‘extremely serious financial challenge,’ Local Government Association peers have said.
Peers said the council had a ‘long history of late preparation of accounts’ and had been hit by a ‘devastating’ cyber-attack in August 2017.
