Council defends appointment of chief

Isle of Anglesey CC has insisted that the appointment of its new chief executive followed the council’s recruitment process despite the resignation of two councillors.

Cllrs Peter Rogers and Bryan Owen quit the appointments panel as they were unhappy with the hiring of Annwen Morgan, who is currently the authority’s deputy chief executive.
