Council must cut £15m from costs

Shetland Islands Council must slash costs by £15.6m over the next five years, officers have warned.

A report to a full council meeting yesterday read: ‘Sustainability, in particular, is extremely challenging at this time with reducing Scottish Government funding being the trend since 2011/12.
