Council struggling to deliver 80% of major planned savings, auditors warn

Auditors have reported a raft of weaknesses in Redditch BC’s financial planning, raising concerns the authority will struggle to deliver more than £1m of its planned savings.

According to the annual audit letter by Grant Thornton, almost 80% of Redditch BC’s major savings schemes in its medium-term financial plan (MTFP) were at risk of failing.
