Council taking too long to tackle 'critical weaknesses'

Gloucestershire CC is taking ‘too long to address critical weaknesses’ identified by inspectors two years ago, an Ofsted report has found.

A letter by inspector Joy Howick following the eighth monitoring visit since the local authority was judged inadequate in March 2017 said the quality of support provided to children in need of help and protection ‘remains inconsistent’.
