Council to end multi-million pound ICT contract four years early

Sheffield City Council is pulling out of a major information and communications technology (ICT) contract.

Senior councillors voted to end the authority’s partnership agreement with Capita four years early after complaints about value for money, lack of innovation, delays in making changes and a prolonged service outage last year.
