Council to retain children's services control

North East Lincolnshire Council has been ordered to work with another authority to improve its children’s services.

The council had been facing loss of control of the service – which was rated as ‘inadequate’ by Ofsted in November 2021 – to a trust prior to the publication of a report by children’s services commissioner Peter Dwyer last week.
