Council vows to co-operate with inquiry after latest allegations

Telford & Wrekin Council has vowed to co-operate with a national child abuse inquiry after reports that up to 1,000 children may have been victims.

The council’s comments come amid pressure for a bespoke investigation into allegations staff failed to tackle historical allegations of co-ordinated child sexual abuse and exploitation over a 40-year period.
