Council waits on Brexit funding

Funding is yet to secured for a building to handle new customs arrangements when the Brexit transition period ends next month.

Portsmouth City Council leader Cllr Gerald Vernon-Jackson said an expected decision on funding for the building had been ‘put off a week’ as he discussed preparations with the Local Government Association’s executive advisory board.
