Hertsmere BC has welcomed news that Sky plans to build a major new film and TV complex at Elstree alongside its own studios.
The project, which it is claimed would create more than 2,000 new jobs and generate an extra £3bn investment in the UK’s creative industry in its first five years, will build on the town’s reputation for film and TV production as it is already home to council-owned Elstree Film Studios.
