Councils call for reform of 'outdated' laws

The next government should reform outdated laws and give more powers to town and parish councils in a new Bill, the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) argued in its manifesto.

NALC wants town and parish councils to get a share of business rates, the Community Infrastructure Levy, New Homes Bonus, and council tax support and fracking funding.
