Councils face ‘wide range of barriers’ to tackle climate change

The Government must engage with councils and provide resources to achieve net-zero targets, MPs have said.

A Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report found most local authorities have declared climate emergencies and agreed carbon neutral targets, but they lack funding and workforce capacity.
