Councils increase pressure on government as Brexit talks start

Local government negotiators believe the General Election result creates an opportunity for their case to be heard more loudly in Brexit talks.

Chief executive of the Northern Ireland Local Government Association (NILGA), Derek McCallan, said the sector wanted to make sure it was a ‘partner of equals’.
