Councils persist with PFI despite Government doubts

The future of Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects has been called into doubt with the publication of a damning report.

MPs on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) said there was a lack of proof that PFI and PF2 (Private Finance 2) deals offered value for money and found that half of the equity holders were based offshore.
