Councils reveal emergency savings plans

Two more councils have announced emergency savings plans as counties struggle to balance their books.

Suffolk and Somerset CCs this week both announced revisions to their finances forced upon them by the soaring cost of children’s services – but they have already been warned they could face legal challenges.
