Councils should scrutinise LEPs, say MPs

Councils and combined authorities should be able to scrutinise Local Enterprise Partnership (LEPs), MPs have claimed.

In its latest report, the Communities and Local Government Select Committee has called on the government boost the role of scrutiny by ensuring overview and scrutiny committees are properly funded and well respected.
