Councils urged to think about economic recovery

Councils have been urged to start thinking about the economic recovery from coronavirus after high double-digit declines in sales.

Closures of non-essential shops have led to deserted high streets and the British Retail Consortium has reported a 27% year-on-year drop in sales in the two weeks to April 4.
