Cross-party MPs urge May to act on social care

MPs from across the political spectrum have united to urge the Prime Minister to create an NHS and Care Convention in a bid to resolve problems in social care.

A total of 90 MPs – including former cabinet ministers – have signed the open letter to Theresa May and chancellor Philip Hammond to call for the convention, which would work across political boundaries to confront the rising pressures across social care.
