Croydon calls for asylum support funds to stave off intervention

Croydon LBC is facing the prospect of Government intervention as it grapples with a multi-million pound funding gap.

The warning was issued by council leader Cllr Hamida Ali as it seeks further funding to help support unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC).
