Croydon to act on missing children

Police officers will be placed inside Croydon LBC as part of an initiative designed to tackle the ‘significant number’ of children going missing from care.

The planned move, under which officers from the Metropolitan Police Service will work from Croydon’s Bernard Wetherill House (BWH), is revealed in a report to a meeting of the council’s children and young people scrutiny panel next week.
