Crunch meetings avoid overspend

Luton Council’s chief executive Trevor Holden has held a series of meetings with his corporate directors to bring back spending within budget.

A report to a council meeting tonight revealed the current year’s budget had been forecast to be overspent by £9m before savings were found.
