DCLG to look at cost of rural service delivery

Urban local authorities have expressed concerns about a government research project that could affect future decisions on council funding.

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) have jointly commissioned LG Futures to look at the cost drivers of delivering services in rural and non-rural areas.
