DLUHC PPS reappointed after sacking

Cabinet minister Michael Gove’s Parliamentary private secretary (PPS) has been reappointed hours after being sacked for abstaining on plans to overhaul the disciplinary process for MPs.

Conservative MP for Guildford, Angela Richardson, who was among dozens of Tories who abstained, said she was ‘pleased to be reappointed’ after Prime Minister Boris Johnson performed a U-turn on plans for a Tory-led review into the disciplinary process for MPs following widespread outrage.
