Over the last three years we have seen national policy largely stagnate due to Brexit, yet locally, councils have continued to deliver services against an increasingly challenging backdrop of cuts, an ageing population and increasing demand for services.
Councils have had to make many tough decisions but they have kept the country running. But to continue to do those things well, councils need to be properly funded.
