District demands withdrawal of unitary plan

A district council has demanded the withdrawal of proposals to create a new unitary council covering the whole of Warwickshire.

The county council has prepared a ‘case for change’ that recommended a single unitary was the 'only option’ that would meet government aspirations for devolution and reform.
