'Divide and rule' approach threatens health and care relationships

The Government’s ‘divide and rule’ tactics could create a rift in what has been a blossoming relationship between NHS and local government, a senior health sector figure has warned.

Addressing The MJ’s Future Forum today, NHS Providers chief executive Chris Hopson said he was ‘delighted’ with the £1bn emergency fund for social care, announced in chancellor Philip Hammond’s Budget earlier this month.
