Don’t let the election derail public sector reforms

Theresa May’s snap election seems to have come as something of a surprise to everyone – particularly our friends the returning officers.

Who can blame her for calling it? With a 21-point lead, even with a ‘margin of error’ cited by pollsters, the election could return not only Ms May’s democratic mandate but also a comfortable majority to get her Brexit deal – or indeed whatever else she wants – through Parliament.
