Dorset unitaries first step of renewed Government focus on reorganisation

Communities secretary Sajid Javid this week kick-started a fresh wave of local government reorganisation – announcing he is ‘minded’ to approve new unitary authorities in Dorset and Suffolk.

In a written ministerial statement Mr Javid revealed he supported proposals to establish two new unitary councils covering Dorset.
