EXCLUSIVE: Councils call for streamlined new burdens for Brexit

Councils have urged the Government to introduce a more streamlined approach to providing new burdens funding for Brexit-related costs, The MJ has learnt.

With local authorities stepping up their preparations for a no-deal Brexit, Government departments have been looking at new burdens but there are sector concerns around the speed at which the doctrine can be applied.
