EXCLUSIVE: Government forced to correct 'name and shame' data

Councils have been left furious after government data on how quickly councils are doling out grants to help businesses turned out to be wrong.

Last week’s data for a number of local authorities is understood to have been littered with errors, with figures for 8% or 25 of councils understood to be inaccurate.
