Edinburgh launches consultation on care cuts

Edinburgh City Council is set to consult on cuts to its health and social care and community safety services in 2018/19 after a mid-year report revealed shortfalls in the delivery of planned savings.

At a meeting tomorrow  the finance and resources committee will consider a report setting out that the council is only on track to achieve 80% of the £39.5 million savings identified for this year.
