Electoral administrators ‘close to quitting’ as they feel the strain

Electoral administrators are under severe strain as they prepare for a snap General Election just a month after local and mayoral polls, The MJ has been told.

The Association of Electoral Administrators has reported that some staff are close to quitting because they feel ‘under-resourced and under-supported’. It added that some of its members did not feel able to ask for help ‘in case this is perceived as weakness’.
