'Endangered' district councils in uncertainty warning

‘Considerable uncertainty’ around funding from 2020/21 is having a ‘direct negative impact’ on ‘endangered’ district councils.

The District Councils’ Network (DCN) said many of its members – which were described as ‘a bit of an endangered species because so many authorities are going unitary’ by shadow minister David Drew last week - were forecasting deficits in their medium-term financial plans.
