Fast-track fracking ‘leaves communities out of pocket’

Town hall chiefs have warned that Government plans to speed up the exploration process for fracking could leave communities short-changed.

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) announced on 25 September a series of amendments to the Infrastructure Bill, which will give oil and gas companies automatic access to use underground land, but only below 300m.
