‘Fine PwC for failed audit,’ says watchdog

The UK’s accountancy watchdog has proposed PwC be fined £6m for failings in its audit of collapsed social housing maintenance company Connaught.

PwC claims it was misled by Connaught’s management and called for a £2m to 2.5m penalty, and a £50,000 fine for the PwC partner overseeing the audit, Stephen Harrison.
