Liverpool City Council’s chief executive, Ged Fitzgerald, has lost a legal attempt to judicial review his arrest.
A judgement issued today rejected Mr Fitzgerald’s claim that Lancashire police mishandled the process behind the search of his premises, his arrest on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and witness intimidation, and later release on police bail in May.
