Senior vice-chair of the Local Government Association (LGA), Cllr Nick Forbes, has called for a ‘very different approach’ to the way councils are funded.
Speaking at the LGA’s annual conference this morning, Cllr Forbes warned there were a ‘whole series of risks around business rates’ and argued a tourist tax could ‘support better local infrastructure’.
