Former deputy leader breached code of conduct dozen times

Sandwell MBC’s standards sub-committee is considering what action to take against a former deputy leader of the council who repeatedly breached its code of conduct.

Cllr Mahboob Hussain was last week found to have breached the standards code on 12 occasions, including pushing through the sale of public toilets below market value to a family friend and instructing officers to reduce or cancel parking tickets issued to his wife and sons.
