Fresh audit warning for Brum

Birmingham City Council’s auditors have delivered another major warning over the authority’s budget.

A report by Grant Thornton said Birmingham’s finances were littered with significant weaknesses – despite a management overhaul last spring, adding that the council may not be providing value for money to taxpayers.
