GIB sale ‘won’t affect investment landscape’

The sell-off of the Green Investment Bank (GIB) will impact future sustainability opportunities for councils, but will not create an immediately poorer investment landscape, Greenpeace has said.

Speaking to The MJ, policy director at Greenpeace, Doug Parr, said current funding routes for projects such as LED lighting would probably not be affected by the spin-off – but warned there were ‘no guarantees about anything’ as a result of the sale to Australian bank Macquarie.
