Glasgow in push for first drugs facility

Glasgow City Council boss Annemarie O’Donnell will invite home secretary Amber Rudd to learn more about proposals for the country’s first safer drug consumption facility.

The letter will ask Ms Rudd to visit Glasgow so she can hear first-hand from those who support the facility and from community members who are currently affected by ‘chaotic public drug use in and around the city centre’.
