The Government has appeared to backtrack on a commitment to ‘fully compensate’ the sector for the loss of income due to changes in business rates.
Smith Square said it was ‘seeking assurances’ that the Non-Domestic Rating Bill, which arrives in Parliament on Monday, will have ‘no detrimental impact on local government’.
