Government must consult local authorities on Brexit issues, warns Betts

Local authorities need greater engagement with the Government in the Brexit process, and more clarity on key post-Brexit issues including funding and skills shortages, according to the chair of the Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee.

Clive Betts MP has written to Secretary of State Sajid Javid MP outlining the concerns, following a committee fact-finding session in Manchester with metro mayors and the Chair of the London Assembly’s EU Brexit Working Group.
