Officers in Haringey LBC have warned that the Labour administration’s use of £5.5m of reserves to increase funding for children’s and adults social care is unsustainable.
The budget plans, the first to be drawn up by the new cabinet installed last year following turmoil centred on a controversial regeneration project, include more than £1m for a council tax reduction scheme for the borough’s poorest residents.
