New government homelessness figures are a ‘stain on our nation’s conscience,’ the outgoing leader of the Lib Dems, Tim Farron, has said.
He spoke out after figures showed that new homelessness cases had risen by 48% and the number of families living in temporary accommodation had increased by 61% since 2009/10.
