How can we make recruitment more truly inclusive?

Unconscious bias training has been hitting the headlines - again. This time the training, designed to tackle the problem of unconscious bias in recruitment decision making, has been called into question by Bill Michael, the now ex-UK chair of accountancy firm KPMG.

This came shortly after the Cabinet Office announced, just before Christmas, they were getting rid of the training for civil servants, citing a study by the Government Equalities Office which said they had found ‘no evidence’ that it had improved equality in the workplace.
