Birmingham City Council is making progress in its efforts to improve its children’s services, but needs to improve the consistency of its work, according to Ofsted.
In a letter to the council, summarising its fourth monitoring visit since the local authority was judged inadequate in November 2016, Ofsted wrote: ‘Positive progress ... has been maintained, with further improvement evident in specific service areas.’
