Improving children's services from the inside out

It is a truism that nurturing children through their early years is vital to a successful future. After all, today’s children will command the world of tomorrow.

Last summer, however, Ofsted claimed that three-quarters of children’s services departments were not good enough. It deemed a quarter were failing significantly, putting children at risk of harm. A further 38 councils are yet to have been inspected.
